A few weeks ago we were commissioned by the EU-China Information Society Project to prepare an overview of the state of virtual worlds in Asia. This organization is a joint effort between the European Commission and the Chinese Government to work on IT policies and regulation. The purpose of the research was to provide some background for the recent workshop that took place in Beijing: virtual worlds are growing and governments worldwide wonder if and how they should regulate them.

A week ago we posted the presentation that highlights most of the research; it had very little text in it. Now we just received clearance to share the full research document30 pages covering key virtual worlds with a focus on Asia. The document is bilingual English/Chinese, which is a great opportunity to update your Mandarin with cutting edge vocabulary.

So here it is for free after filling out the following form. We hope you will enjoy it and look forward to your feedback!
