China Radio International | Is innovation the future for web 2.0 in China?
+8* China InterviewsPublished November 11, 2007 at 12:51 pm 1 CommentOn the occasion of the OrangeLabs Web 2.0 event last week, we also had the pleasure to be interviewed by China Radio International. CRI is the only overseas broadcaster in the PRC. It was founded and is owned and operated by the state. CRI is one of the “three central media organizations in China” along with China National Radio (CNR) and China Central Television (CCTV).
The interview is here (about 15 minutes) and explains why China will soon be an Internet innovation powerhouse.
If you missed our previous interview with Danwei on Innovation Arbitrage, you are welcome to discover it here (also ~10 minutes).

This is interesting that this topic has been brought up again. Back in July, I wrote an article discussing the mobile industry in China, looking at the perspective of innovation vs inheritance. See: http://www.wirelessroundup.com/2007/07/16/china-mobile-solutions-eager-to-innovate-or-inherit/
It seems to be concensus now, that innovation is the way forward in the Chinese market, not only for mobile, but also Web2.0
